About Eden Outreach, Inc.
History
Eden Outreach, Inc. was established in March 1999 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. The program was birthed of an intense burden and love for the broken in the community. It began with my son and I picking up individuals needing shelter from the streets.
In March 1999, a two-story facility was purchased in the South Dallas/Fair Park neighborhood to serve as shelter for overnight and short stay; providing food, clothing, and chaplain services for the homeless.
Since 2000, we have provided recovery services programs for individuals seeking assistance with housing and giving them opportunities to get established and better their lives.
This program provides opportunities to restore lives, challenge potential, reach out to others, and build a community.
For almost two decades, we have provided transitional housing and assistance to individuals in need of restoration and a new start in life.
We have provided housing for homeless men/women from the streets to become acceptable, responsible, and productive members of our community. We have created a positive environment with guidance that integrated the physical, spiritual and emotional well-being for men and women to reach their greatest potential through spiritual guidance, jobs/life skills training and direction in future careers. Many have achieved complete freedom from addiction, old patterns, and behaviors; therefore, gaining stability and maintaining employment.
These men and women are reintegrated in the community having developed healthy alternative methods of handling the stresses of normal life.

About the Founder
Agatha Odamah is the Founder and Executive Director of Eden Outreach, Inc. (formerly Metro Haven of Love, Inc. established in March 1999). The organization rehabilitates men and women with addictive behavior and homelessness. Eden Outreach aims to ensure successful client reentry to society as healthy, contributing members of the community in a sober living, homelike, and structured environment with supportive recovery services.
Twenty-four years of treatment experience has given Mrs. Odamah insight into men and women’s unique attitudes and life experiences. Her background allows her to create programs that are highly effective. In the treatment of drug and alcohol dependency, the caring and nurturing environment she provides with long term housing has been extremely effective. Additionally, she provides the residents with guidance that integrates the spiritual, physical and emotional dimensions of their lives.
She has extensive counseling experience with individuals, couples, groups, and life transitions and spends time ministering to people from all walks of life. Her approach to counseling is bible-based and acknowledges God as the primary influence in restoring total freedom.
Recently, she initiated a long term young adult discipleship program. In a positive Christian environment, she trains them to discover God’s divine plan and purpose for their lives. She assists them with training in leadership, education, life skills, and work ethics.
Agatha holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master of Arts with Distinction in theology from Trinity Theological Seminary. She is currently pursing her Doctor of Theology at Trinity Theological Seminary.
